For as long as I can remember I have always been very self-conscious of my teeth. After visits to orthodontists in both the North and South of Ireland, I had given up hope that orthodontics could improve my smile, having been advised that jaw surgery would be my only option. My new dentist explained that a multidisciplinary approach would be needed involving orthodontics, periodontics and cosmetic dentistry to get the best result. He encouraged me to discuss things with Dr.Wolstencroft before deciding what my best options were.

I was somewhat apprehensive visiting another orthodontist and expected the outcome to be much of what I had been told previously, but instead my concerns were allayed almost immediately. While I did understand my case was somewhat complex, Dr.Wolstencroft’s positivity and confidence that orthodontic treatment could at the very least, greatly improve the appearance of my smile pleased me greatly.

Throughout the orthodontic treatment, the care and conscientiousness and professionalism of Dr.Wolstencroft and his staff was always of the highest standard. They were most accommodating and If I had concerns at any time, they were addressed and allayed immediately. Overall the orthodontic experience was reasonably pleasant, enhanced in no small part by the confident and friendly demeanor of Dr.Wolstencroft and his team. After orthodontics I had my teeth veneered and crown lengthening surgery to reduce the amount of gum tissue visible above my teeth.

Overall, while it was a long course of treatment, personally I feel the end result is a huge success. I was very lucky to attend three skilled professionals who made every effort to work as a team and ensure that the procedures were carried out with the upmost care with minimal discomfort to me.

I would not hesitate in recommending Dr.Wolstencroft and the other clinicians involved in my care to anyone considering complex dentistry that involves orthodontics. I thank all the clinicians wholeheartedly for my new found confidence and helping me achieve a smile I can finally be proud of!
